Fascinated Fridays: ASMR Part 2

So, as promised, here is part 2 of the Fascinated Fridaypost on ASMR.  Over the last week, I have tried to go through the video I posted, and listen to some of the sounds.  I then wrote down my response to each one.

This endeavor was aided by my buddy Jason, who lent me some amazing headphones and sound gear.  As a side note, I did not know that this existed, Meridian Voyagerbut as someone who listens to music primarily on my laptop while writing, this thing is amazing.  Anyway, with new sound equipment, I started working my way through the library of sounds on the video.

First off, I was surprised by the visual component of the video.  The nice lady, Heather Feather, is very pretty and gentle, and you actually see her making the sounds herself.  (side note: as attractive as she is, she is nowhere near as gorgeous as that big Shakespeare book she starts playing with around 2:17 into the video.  Wow.).  I didn’t know if I was supposed to look as well as listen or what, but it was pleasant.

One thing I dsicovered and would share with all of you:  Do not get g-chat messages while listening to this stuff.  That chat “ding” rang through my head like Satan’s doorbell.

In case you missed it the first time, here is the video I used.

Ok, so going through the video:

1.  1:39  Telephone Voice- annoying

4.  7:21  Ribbed Valentine’s Day Heart  kind of satifying but no tingles

5.  11:17  Sage Stick & Smudging   things got weird here.  The nice lady on the video started to be able to see me.  I opened my eyes.  she told me to close them.  When i opened them again, she told me to follow the smoke.  Weird.  not unpleasant though.
